(TTTDAG Inc.) committee to ensure all residents in the community of Hume are kept informed on the progress being made regarding our fight to have the  toxic dump in Western Avenue closed for good and for Cleanaway to begin site remediation immediately. Our Mission The Terminate Tulla Toxic Dump Action Group Inc. is an advocacy, not for profit organisation, working for the community for a healthy and safe environment because this is OUR home. We are a community action group representing the residents of Westmeadows, Gladstone Park, Tullamarine, Attwood and residents of Hume in general. The areas mostly affected are those in the immediate vicinity of the dump and represent over 10,000 households. Why Do We Exist? Terminate Tulla Toxic Dump Action Group Inc. was formed following a public meeting held on the 1st of February 2006. The committee is made up of local people who are enraged the dump remained open despite commitments by Cleanaway to have operations cease years ago. We, as a community, have fought to have the dump closed over many years and we pay homage to the gallant efforts of previous dedicated community members and committees who have preceded us. This is OUR home and we have been directly affected for over 30 years by having to put up with the disgusting stench, the toxic dumping, the pollution of our creeks, and of the air that we breathe.   Whilst we have won the battle to have the dump closed for good; the fight for the rehabilitation of the site and the extraction, storage, and safe offsite disposal of the LNAPL, will continue. We will hold Transpacific Industries (TPI — the new owners of the site) and the EPA accountable for the clean up and rehabilitation of the toxic dump, we will demand transparency of the entire process for as long as it takes, and we will monitor the progress and report back to you, the community, so that you are kept informed every step of the way.
